The Pallavicini Park of Pegli, built between 1840 and 1846 on a project by the architect Michele Canzio, at the behest of the Marquis Ignazio Alessandro Pallavicini, represents an excellence in the Italian and European historical-romantic garden. The park area has 8 hectares and the visit lasts at least 2 and a half hours. A unique feature of this garden, spread over 8 hectares of hills, is being structured on a theatrical tale with esoteric-Masonic nuances that make the visit a historical-cultural, landscape-botanical, but also meditative-philosophical experience.

The tour itinerary is organized with scenes characterized by lakes, torrents, waterfalls, garden buildings, furnishings, rare plants, the oldest Italian collection of camellias, visual glimpses and “scenographic deceptions” capable of appropriating the external panorama and dilating almost to infinity the boundaries of this magical place. There is no lack of plant specimens of great botanical-landscape value: the monumental camphor flanked by the cedar of Lebanon on the edge of the lake, the collection of exotic palms, the araucaria and secular cork, the Rosa Banksia and the Lauroceraso. But in particular, stands out among all, the collection of ancient camellias (some of which are over 100 years old), which each spring is a real attraction with its particular flowering.

• WINTER from 2nd November to 28th February open only by reservation or for extraordinary openings;
• SUMMER from 1st March to 1st November, closed only on Mondays, except bridges or public holidays.
