The Villa and its agricultural buildings, dating back to the mid-seventeenth century, are revisited in 1851 in neo-gothic style. The Villa thus acquires a new Tudor style and the 10 hectares are transformed into an English park. The park is designed around three vast lawns, connected by large clearings characterized by predominantly evergreen tree vegetation, creating planks and visual glimpses that accompany the gaze towards the cottage, the farm buildings and the gazebos. At the center of the park we find a small lake in front of the Tudor building, with a long peninsula in the center and numerous ducks, swans, peacocks and turtles. There are lawns for sunbathing while one can watch the coming and going of children. Inside the park there is a Consortium of companies with a dense agenda of events, ranging from the creative market to musical shows.

Since 2005, the largest public collection of Hydrangee has been created with about 2000 plants for over 260 varieties, both historical and cultivar, with blooms from the end of May to October. The park is public property, managed by the Villa Serra Consortium which groups the three owners Municipalities (Genoa, Sant’Olcese and Serra Riccò). In 1992 it was reopened to the public after a restoration that brought it back to its original lines. It offers to the spouses refined, scenographic and elegant environments in a place deeply immersed in natural and suggestive landscapes. The Villa can be used for ceremonies, weddings, communions, parties, congress halls and auditoriums with capacity up to 175 seats. Catering services are carried out by a leading company in the sector. Publicly owned, the complex is managed by the Villa Serra Consortium on behalf of the Municipalities of Genoa, Sant’Olcese and Serra Riccò.

Opening:

• WINTER Open every day from 10am to 5pm, with the exception of Monday which opens at at 2.00pm;
• SUMMER Open every day from 9.00am to 8.00pm, with the exception of Monday which opens at 2.00pm.

Tickets: adult ticket €3, free for children from 0-6 years accompanied by parents, €1 for children aged 6-12 and over 65, €75 for groups of 25 to 35 people.
